Following the completion of the 2020 / 2021 season, the following players have left Hamilton Academical WFC:

• Lauren Grant, Dani Connolly, Nicole Cairney, Elise McCormick, and Lisa Kerr.

Lauren made 63 appearances for Accies, keeping 17 clean sheets, and was our established Number 1 goalkeeper from 2018.

Grant was nominated for SWPL Save for the Season in 2019 for her incredible save against Hibernian and has been nominated again this season for an acrobatic tip in the home game against Aberdeen.

Dani made 87 appearances for Accies in her 5-year spell and picked up a 2016 SWPL 2 winners medal after signing from Celtic.
The Ayrshire-based defender was a key part of the side across several seasons at both left-back and centre-back.

Nicole joined from Motherwell, Lisa from Celtic and Elise returned to the club (also from Celtic) at the start of this season and leave with their part played in a tense and exciting promotion back to the top flight. Kerr joined following the enforced Covid break mid-season.

As a club we have committed to helping our departing players find a new club should they want that support and of course, wish them all the best in the future.

We also want to place on record our thanks to Kirk Phillips who helped with our Strength and Conditioning during the SWPL 2 re-start and run in and wish him the best in his new role in Denmark at FC Midtjylland. Smash it, Kirk!
